Washington's Lottery Announces Luckiest Stores Around the Olympic Peninsula

Mickey's Deli and Safeway Top the List

With St. Patrick's Day approaching, Washington's Lottery is helping The Evergreen State find the end of the rainbow. Each year Washington’s Lottery announces its "Luckiest Stores"–the retail locations that have sold the most tickets worth prizes over $1,000 in 2012 - for six regions around the state: Olympic Peninsula, Puget Sound, Eastern Washington, Southwest Washington, Tri-Cities, and Central Washington.

Mickey's Deli at 110 West Alder Street in Shelton is the "Luckiest Store" in the Olympic Peninsula area with 8 big wins.

The Ocean Shores IGA store at 101 East Chance A La Mer Northeast is new to the list this year. The store tied for 2nd place with 8 big wins. "We have many Lottery customers that come in everyday. The women working at the service center know them by name," said Dianne Shepard, IGA’s bookkeeper. "We work really hard to promote the Lottery and we think it’s awesome to be on the list because we’re a small store!"
