A woman from Redmond is celebrating after a random Hit 5 purchase at Fred Meyer (2041 148th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98007) resulted in a $310,000 Hit 5 win.
“I was getting ready for work when I saw my ticket in the kitchen,” said the winner. “As I was going online to check my ticket, I thought, ‘What if I won and didn’t have to go into work today.’ Then I found out my ticket was a winner!”
The woman told a Washington’s Lottery representative she first plans to pay off some bills with the prize money, as she and her husband recently completed a kitchen and bathroom remodel. Then she plans to shop for a new car, potentially a Land Rover.
Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
