$100,000 POWERBALL WIN MAKES BUCKET LIST ITEM A REALITY FOR BOTHELL RESIDENT

A man from Bothell will soon check “skydiving” off his bucket list, thanks to a recent $100,000 Powerball win from the drawing on Saturday, August 12. He purchased his winning ticket at a Chevron gas station in Kenmore (8002 Bothell Way NE, Kenmore, WA 98028).

“I don’t play Washington’s Lottery often, but I saw the big Powerball Jackpot and figured I’d give it a shot,” said the winner. “I may not have won the multimillion- dollar prize, but that’s ok because I get to go skydiving with my win, which I’ve always wanted to do.”

In a conversation with Lottery officials, the winner shared he doesn’t plan to spend his prize money on many things. He plans to invest a good portion of his prize and also help pay for his sister’s birthday party.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
