MARYSVILLE MAN WINS $75,000 PLAYING HIT 5, EXCITED TO CHECK EVERYTHING OFF FAMILY’S CHRISTMAS WISH LIST

Robert Borleck, a long-time Marysville resident, is $75,000 richer after winning a Hit 5 Cashpot on Monday, Dec. 4. Borleck purchased the ticket at his “lucky store,” the Grove Street Market in Marysville (5931 Grove St Marysville, WA 98270).

The winner told Washington’s Lottery officials that he shared the good news with his girlfriend first, and in her excitement, she dropped her phone and it shattered. He’s already used some of his winnings to replace her phone as an early Christmas present. “Other than paying some bills and putting lots of it in the bank, I plan on using my prize to make sure everyone gets what they’re asking for this Christmas.”

Borleck is getting ready to retire in the next six months from his employer of 29 years, so he said this prize couldn’t have come at a better time.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
