SEATTLE WOMAN CELEBRATES SWEET $100,000 POWERBALL WIN

Thanks to a recent $100,000 Powerball win, a Seattle resident and her husband have reason to celebrate. The woman purchased the winning ticket at the Northgate QFC (11100 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98125) for the drawing on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

“When I first looked at the numbers, I was so shocked that I had to have someone else check them before I could believe it,” she said. After realizing the win was real, the woman shared the good news with her husband, who was even more excited than she was.

The woman told Washington’s Lottery officials that she uses a very special combination of family members’ birthdays as her lucky numbers.

The couple plans to use the prize to make improvements around their home, including a new roof and windows. However, they decided to celebrate first with a couple bags of Seahawks M&M’s.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
