Kathy Loberg of Vancouver is celebrating a $50,000 lottery win after playing “$25,000,000 Extravaganza” Scratch. She purchased her ticket from the local EZ Mart (9511 NE 76th St.).
The winner told Lottery officials when she scratched her ticket, she was in such disbelief she went back into the store to have the manager double check that her ticket was actually a winner. While back in the store, she said another patron jokingly offered her $5 for her ticket, which she respectfully declined.
Loberg, a lifelong Vancouver resident, currently works as a cook for the Vancouver School District. She is also a caregiver and proud grandmother and great grandmother. With her win, Loberg plans to buy a new truck and put the remainder towards a new roof for her house.
