KENMORE MAN WINS $70,000 PLAYING “LIGHTNING 7’s”

A man from Kenmore is celebrating a $70,000 win after playing “Lightning 7’s” Scratch. He purchased his ticket from the Lynnwood Albertsons (12811 Beverly Park Rd).

“When I realized that we had won, I was just dumbfounded. My jaw dropped like a character in one of those old cartoons,” said the winner.

The man told lottery officials that he and his wife often play the new Scratch games, but this is the first time they have ever won a prize this large. After the couple double-checked their ticket, they were so excited they immediately shared the news with family.

The couple, who have been together for over 15 years, plans to celebrate together over a nice dinner out.

They plan to save some of their winnings for a future down payment on a house.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
