MAPLE VALLEY MAN SCRATCHES HIS WAY TO $50,000 LOTTERY WIN

Mike Jolgen of Maple Valley is celebrating a $50,000 lottery win after playing “$25,000,000 Extravaganza” Scratch. He purchased the winning ticket from a Renton Albertsons (3925 236th AVE NE).

The winner shared that when he first scratched the ticket, he had to sit and look at it for about 30 minutes before he could believe it was real. He then shared his news with his sister who was just as amazed and overjoyed as he was.

“The most exciting part was driving to the lottery office to turn in the ticket,” said Jolgen, “I was almost nervous, but an excited nervous.

Jolgen told lottery officials that he enjoys playing Scratch games and tends to play at the same store every time. He has won playing Scratch before, but he admits this is the largest prize he’s ever won.

The winner plans to use the money to pay off his recently purchased RV and the remaining money will go towards his retirement account.
