WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER! SNOHOMISH MAN WINS $75,000

Travis Gartside of Snohomish is celebrating a $75,000 lottery win after playing “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” Scratch. He purchased the winning ticket from Vic’s Market in Snohomish (615 Bowen St).

Gartside told lottery officials that after buying a few Scratch tickets, he bumped into a friend from high school and the two decided to catch up over drinks. With four tickets total, they each scratched two. His friend scratched the big winner.

“I thought it was just $7,500 and spent about 15 minutes trying to see if it was real,” he said.

The man says he credits his friend for his good fortune. After realizing the real value of the winning ticket, the man offered to pay his friend’s tuition for the upcoming semester of school.

The man also plans to spend some of his money buying a special car. After his father passed away, the winner sold his 1974 Dodge Challenger. Now, he plans to use his winnings to purchase a 2015 Dodge Charger as a way to honor his father’s passion for cars.
