Latest Mega Millions jackpot run yields big prize wins for players across Washington

From December 29, 2023, through March 26, 2024, Washingtonians took home 19 prizes worth $10K each

Olympia, Wash. (April 4, 2024) – While the $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot was won in New Jersey, Washington’s Lottery officials today announced that the state saw 19 large Mega Millions prize winners of its own during the recent jackpot run.

The retailers that sold each winning ticket include:

  • December 29, 2023 Drawing – One $10,000 prize
    • Albertsons located at 14300 NE 20th Avenue in Vancouver
  • January 2, 2024 Drawing – One $10,000 prize
    • Safeway located at 708 Shaw Road in Puyallup
  • January 9, 2024 Drawing – One $10,000 prize
    • Walmart Fuel Station located at 14505 NE Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver
  • January 12, 2024 Drawing – One $10,000 prize
    • First Choice Market located at 16105 NE 182nd Avenue in Brush Prairie
  • January 19, 2024 Drawing – One $10,000 prize
    • Circle K located at 1013 NE 45th Street in Seattle
  • January 23, 2024 Drawing – One $10,000 prize
    • Twin Smoke located at 24817 Pacific Highway S in Kent
  • February 13, 2024 Drawing – One $10,000 prize
    • NomNom located at 1023 S Maple Street in Spokane
  • February 20, 2024 Drawing – One $10,000 prize

Winning players have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize. By law, the prizes that aren’t claimed are placed into a reserve account. Each June, the surplus in the reserve account is transferred to the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account (WOPA), which supports education in Washington State. WOPA helps college students across the state achieve their dreams and supports early childhood education programs. More information on the program can be found here.

Washington’s Lottery has regional offices located in Everett, Federal Way, Olympia, Spokane, Tri-Cities and Vancouver, which are open to the public to claim prizes Mon-Fri from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winners with tickets for $100,000 or more are instructed to call the nearest Lottery office to schedule an appointment to make a safe and secure in-person claim.

Who Benefits
Since 1982, Washington’s Lottery has generated more than $5.3 billion to support several important state programs, including providing much-needed funds for the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account (WOPA). In FY23, WOPA received $199.9 million from the Lottery. Of this, $139.1 million helped fund the Washington College Grant, a financial aid program that supported more than 29,000 college students and apprentices across the state last year. Another $2.5 million helped fund the College Bound program to help eligible students attain a college or training degree or credential.

Washington’s Lottery is proud to be a financial supporter of the Washington Student Achievement Council, which administers state financial aid programs. WSAC leads a variety of initiatives to increase educational opportunities for students, families, and educators across the state, with a particular focus on increasing equity by reaching communities of color and students from low-income families. The $141.6 million investment made in FY23 by the Lottery helps fund the Washington College Grant and College Bound programs, in order to improve access to postsecondary attainment for students across Washington.
