KIRKLAND MAN MAKES DAUGHTER’S WEDDING DREAMS A REALITY AFTER $130,000 LOTTERY WIN

A father from Kirkland wants to make sure his only daughter’s walk down the aisle is everything she imagined after winning $130,000 from Washington’s Lottery. The man purchased his winning Hit 5 ticket from Jackson’s Food Store (12001 NE 8th St., Bellevue, WA 98005). He bought it on his way home from work the day before the June 22 drawing.

“I’m still in disbelief,” said the winner. “I stopped by the same convenience store on my way home the next day so I could check my ticket and when I realized I’d won I was so excited I immediately left and called my wife. When we told our daughter, she just started screaming.”

The winner told Lottery officials his daughter’s wedding is July 30, so he wants to make sure everything runs smoothly and all of the last-minute details are taken care of. Before the wedding, he plans to take his family out to a nice meal to celebrate his win. Afterwards, he’ll put his remaining prize money in the bank.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
