BREMERTON MAN RECEIVES RETIREMENT SURPRISE, WINS $150,000 JACKPOT

A Bremerton man was celebrating the first day of his retirement when he received incredible news. After playing Hit 5 on Wednesday, June 29, the winner learned he’d won the $150,000 jackpot. The man purchased his ticket from Fred Meyer (5050 Washington 303, Bremerton, WA 98311).

“When I found out I’d won, I couldn’t believe my luck,” said the winner. “I immediately ran into the kitchen to tell my wife and she couldn’t believe it either! She was actually so suspicious of the win that she asked me to go check the ticket again.”

The winner told Lottery officials he knows exactly how he plans to spend his prize money.  He and his wife have scheduled a trip to New Zealand’s North Island and, instead of flying coach like they had planned, they’ll be flying first class. While on their trip, the couple plans to tour The Lord of the Rings filming locations, as the winner is a big fan of the popular movie series.

After traveling, the winner plans to finish some home projects and then intends to plan a second trip New Zealand to visit the country’s South Island.
