A MOVE TO SPOKANE IS IN THE FUTURE FOR A $280,000 HIT 5 WINNER

Thanks to a long career in the Navy, Dan Bailey has traveled the world. When the Sammamish man discovered he’d won the Lottery, he knew he had one last travel plan to make: A permanent move to Spokane.

Bailey won the $280,000 Hit 5 cashpot on Saturday, September 3 from a ticket he purchased the day before at Jackson’s Food Stores in Sammamish (2936 228th Ave SE, Sammamish, WA 98075).

“I’ve lived in Sammamish for around 19 years,” Bailey said. “My family lives in Spokane and I want to be able to watch my two grandkids grow up.”

Bailey plans to pay off some bills and make the move to the east side of the state by spring. While his career in the Navy took him around the world, he told Lottery officials he would like to go back to Europe because Britain was his favorite place to live when he was in the service.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
