WINNER WINNER STEAK DINNER; TUKWILA MAN WINS $240,000 HIT 5 JACKPOT

A man from Tukwila purchased $85 worth of steaks after winning $240,000 from the Hit 5 drawing on Saturday, October 22. He planned to grill the steaks during a family barbeque he’s hosting in celebration of his big win. The winner purchased his ticket from a local Safeway (4011 S 164th St, Seattle, WA 98188).

“I’ve never won a jackpot of this size,” said the winner. “I include the same two numbers in every Hit 5 game I play and this time, they worked in my favor. All I have to say is, ‘winner winner, steak dinner!’”

When asked what he plans to do with his prize money, the winner told Washington’s Lottery officials he plans to remodel his home.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
