GROCERY SHOPPING YIELDS $50,000 LOTTERY WIN FOR GRANDVIEW WOMAN

A woman from Grandview walked into Safeway (610 Wine Country Rd, Grandview, WA 98930) for some groceries and left with a winning “Season’s Greetings” Scratch ticket worth $50,000.

“I saw the holiday Scratch ticket and, given the time of the year, I figured I’d play,” said the winner. “I definitely wasn’t expecting to leave the store a Washington’s Lottery winner, but it sure is nice!”

The winner and her husband are currently in the process of remodeling their bathroom and plan to put the prize money toward the renovation. The woman also plans to enjoy a celebratory dinner and then save the rest of her winnings for future needs.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing grants to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
