GRAND COULEE MAN TO USE $5 MILLION LOTTO WIN TO CELEBRATE HIS 40TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Grand Coulee resident Earl “Ray” McDonald claimed his $5 million Lotto win just in time for an important life event: His 40th wedding anniversary.

“I don’t have anything grand planned yet, but it’s coming up and we’ll definitely use the prize to celebrate our anniversary,” said McDonald.

McDonald purchased his ticket for the drawing on Nov. 28, 2016 from the Holiday Station Store in Spokane Valley (411 No. Pines Rd. Spokane, Wa 99206). He told Lottery officials he used the Quick Pick feature to select his numbers for this win, although in the past he’s played various combination of family member’s birthdates.

McDonald told Lottery officials he also plans to help out his family with his prize. He also has a large family on the west side of the state and he looks forward to spending more time with them.
