A Tumwater resident is now $270,000 richer thanks to Washington’s Lottery’s Hit 5 game. Gary Hough claimed his big prize today. The 62-year-old said he plans to take his family on a trip to Disney World once “Fantasyland” reopens later this year.
“I’ve been unemployed for about a year now,” explained Hough. “My youngest son is in college, and things are pretty tight for us. This will allow us to ease some of the tension.”
Hough wouldn’t necessarily consider himself to be a lucky man. “The biggest thing I ever won before this was a quilt at the Central Washington State Fair,” he joked.
