Three new games hit stores May 17
Olympia, WA (May 5, 2021) – Washington’s Lottery today announced the launch of three new Scratch games worth more than $27 million in prizes combined. The new Scratch games will debut on May 17 at authorized retailers across the state. Players will soon be able to enjoy playing the new games, which are:
- Triple Fortune Dragon
- When players choose to play this game, they’ll see tickets with three unique designs for triple the fun – Triple Fortune Dragon Gold, Triple Fortune Dragon Spitfire, and Triple Fortune Dragon Unleashed. All three designs are part of the same game and have the same odds and prizes
- $5 per ticket with a top prize of $50,000. Reveal three identical symbols in any spin and win the prize shown for that spin. Get two identical symbols and a “2X” symbol in any spin and win double the prize shown for that spin. There’s even a “5X” multiplier symbol that gives winners five times the prize shown for that spin when matching two identical symbols. Each spin plays separately.
- As a bonus, players who reveal a “bill stack” symbol win $50 instantly
- Trip 7s
- $2 per ticket. Reveal three identical amounts in a spin and win that amount. Get two identical amounts and a “777” symbol in a spin and win triple that amount. Each spin is played separately. This game’s top prize is $17,777.
- Red Hot & Blue
- $1 per ticket. Match three like amounts and win that amount. Match two like amounts and a "$ FLAME" symbol and win twice that amount. The top prize for this game is $5,000.
Washington’s Lottery offers Scratch games priced between $1 and $30, each with varying prize amounts. The number of actual prizes available in a game may vary based on the number of tickets printed, tested, distributed, sold, and number of prizes claimed. There are currently more than two dozen of Scratch games in rotation.
Once a player wins, they have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize for a draw game ticket. If the player won with a Scratch ticket, they have 180 days from the last day of ticket sales to claim their prize. Scratch game closing procedures will be initiated when all top prizes have been claimed. Scratch game closing procedures may be initiated for documented business reasons. These games may have prizes unclaimed, including top prizes. During closing, games may be sold even after all top prizes have been claimed and/or non-winning second chance promotional drawings have expired. Claims are subject to applicable laws, rules, procedures and final decisions of the Executive Director.
As counties in Washington continue to progress through the state’s phased reopening plan, some Lottery offices have reopened to the public. Lottery offices in Olympia and Spokane are open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon-Fri, and the offices in Yakima and Everett are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wed and Thu each week.
Washington’s Lottery also encourages winners with prizes up to $100,000 to mail in their tickets to claim their prize. Winners with tickets for $100,000 or more should call Lottery Headquarters or their closest Regional Office to schedule an appointment to make a safe and secure in-person claim. This change is in response to the current COVID-19 public health crisis, to enable social distancing, and support Washington's “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” directive. More information can be found here.
