Powerball Jackpot Now At $1 Billion For Saturday Night’s Drawing

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Holiday cheer isn’t the only thing rising this year! The Powerball jackpot has surged to a remarkable $1 billion ahead of Saturday’s drawing, after no one won the top prize Wednesday night.

LOCAL WINNERS: Despite nobody matching all five numbers, Washington players still saw four big wins over the last week. The December 10 drawing had one $50,000 winning ticket sold in Gig Harbor, and another $50,000 winning ticket sold in Goldendale that increased to $150,000 after the player selected the Power Play add-on, which was 3x on draw night. The December 6 drawing also had two winning tickets worth $50,000, one sold in Sedro Woolley and the other in Newport.

Powerball drawings take place at 7:59 p.m. PT every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with ticket sales available until 6:45 p.m. PT on the day of the draw. Sales for the next drawing resume the same day at 6:46 p.m. Powerball also offers several add-on features, including Double Play for $1, a second-chance drawing at 8:30 p.m. with the chance to win up to $10 million, and Power Play for $1, which offers players the opportunity to multiply their non-jackpot winnings based on the Power Play multiplier randomly chosen at draw time.

Tickets are available for purchase at Washington’s Lottery retail locations throughout the state. Players can find Washington’s Lottery retail locations here.
